PROVEN EXPERIENCE TRANSPARENCY VISION

Promises Delivered
Economic Growth & Development
By working closely with Bishop Ranch, the Chamber, and Discover San Ramon several highly-regarded restaurants and nonprofits have come to our City, such as Meyhouse, Rico Rico Taqueria, & Roya Foundation.
Afterschool & Community Programs That Foster Our Community's Interests & Goals
Negotiated free childcare with a developer for low-income families so that parents can pursue higher education and & better paying jobs.
Supporting Higher Education & Apprenticeship Programs
At County Connection, I introduced a request to establish a shuttle bus between Diablo Valley College campuses in San Ramon and Pleasant Hill, so that students are not restricted in their course choices and are able to select the classes they need to graduate sooner than later.
Affordable Housing through Housing Diversity
State-mandated housing is the law, and it cannot be broken any more than you blowing a red light. Some people for political reasons will try to make you believe that we can "somehow" stop state-mandated housing development if we just put our foot down harder, but nothing could be further from the truth. Please look at the section on "Housing" which will be up soon to learn more about how our housing laws work and the severe penalties cities face when they break the law. We are making every effort to meet these requirements, while protecting our parks and open spaces and maintaining the overall charm of our city outside the city core which has been part of our general plan for 24 years. Furthermore, our school district is struggling with under enrollment due to parents staying in the city long after their children graduate and families simply not having as many children, which impacts funding. Creating more affordable housing at various entry points will allow younger families to live, work, and play in San Ramon, while helping our schools.
Attracting Green Jobs & Developing Green Infrastructure
This is the very reason I sought to establish a Sustainability Advisory Committee (SAC). We need thoughtful planning as we move forward to meet our city's environmental, social, and economic demands. The SAC will help implement our Climate Action Plan (CAP) and identify funding to help us meet those demands. Developing a Smart City requires forethought and the input of a variety of community stakeholders to ensure that ideas brought forward are viable for all involved.
Protecting Our Open Spaces & Reducing Traffic
I promised mixed-use, infill development in the city core and that is precisely where development is happening. By building in the downtown core, we prevent urban sprawl and reduce backed up traffic congestion along the main commute corridors. The construction of the bridge, which was over 82 percent funded by outside grants, reduced red light stop traffic by 3 hours per day onsite. Moreover, we secured $2 million in federal funding to install fiber optic traffic management throughout the city. This will help regulate traffic more efficiently throughout the day.
Public Safety
Every year since I took office four years ago, our safety ranking has improved. This year was no exception. In 2022 and 2025, we ranked 11th safest city in California and in 2026 we ranked 9th safest city in California according to Safewise. Improving public safety requires a variety of measures and it's not just more police.
